There are number of tasks you need to perform before even thinking about migrating to Linux:
- There is no substitute for good backups. Even if you should decide to not move to Linux, before going any further make sure you have a backup. Some tips for backing up can be found in Ferocious Sun report Computer – Backups (FS0007).
- Although the hardware requirements for running Linux are much lower than those for Window, you will need to confirm your computer is robust enough to handle Linux. Those requirements are mentioned in the SOLUTION portion of the Computer – Windows 11 Ready? (FS0008) report.
